James Brown, Head of Student Recruitment, KAUST
James leads the Student Recruitment team at KAUST, setting the strategy for and delivering domestic and international recruitment across the University's master's and PhD programmes. He brings extensive higher education experience: before KAUST he led International Student Recruitment at the University of Oxford, and prior to that managed recruitment across most regions of the world at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he also gained a master's in Comparative Politics. His earlier career spans research, educational NGOs and schools across the Americas and Asia, giving him a genuinely global perspective on what students are looking for.
Shahad Alandijani, Student Recruitment Specialist, KAUST
Shahad helps shape and deliver KAUST's domestic recruitment strategy across Saudi Arabia, focusing on prospective master's and PhD students. Her work spans identifying new recruitment initiatives, using data and market insight to guide planning, and leading engagement through recruitment fairs, campus visits, outreach programmes, webinars and hackathons. Before joining KAUST she worked in student recruitment at Dar Al-Hekma University, where she also earned an MBA. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
