We understand that finances play a crucial role in your decision-making process when choosing where to pursue your studies. We admit exceptional students to our programs, and we want them to thrive whilst they are with us. For that reason we provide generous support through the KAUST Fellowship to our degree students which covers tuition fees, housing, utilities, health insurance, relocation and provides a stipend for your living costs. Those enrolled on internships receive similar support. This allows our students to focus on achieving their academic goals without the stress of financial burden. For more information about the KAUST Fellowship, visit our Fees and Funding page.
Your day to day living costs will depend upon your lifestyle choices, and so will vary significantly from one person to another. There is lots to do at KAUST outside of your studies! Some things are free, for example:
- High speed internet across campus
- Public transport on campus, which runs at regular intervals throughout the day across KAUST
- Access to gyms, swimming pools and leisure facilities (note that some classes charge fees)
- Access to the beach
- Off-campus transportation to selected destinations
Other things – for example food shopping, eating out, personal travel, going to the cinema, specialist activities like golf and scuba diving – have a cost and will be variable according to individual tastes.
