The Visiting Student Research Program (VSRP) is an internship program open to 3rd and 4th year Bachelors, and Masters students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. There are currently 100+ faculty-led research projects available to choose from across various STEM disciplines, which applicants can apply for as internships of between 3 and 6 months. The program is also ideal for those pursuing co-op opportunities or seeking practical experience in a research area. Interns who have participated in the program have often described it as excellent preparation for further study in research.
Applicants can choose their own start and end dates as the program runs across the year – this allows us to host a community of interns, drawn from some of the best universities around the world, through the year. The cost of tuition fees, housing, and return flights are covered by KAUST, and we offer a monthly stipend for living costs.
Accepted students collaborate with our faculty in world-class facilities and contribute to new knowledge. Our faculty, staff and students are represented by more than 100 nationalities, so interns coming to KAUST will work and live in a diverse international environment.
