Student Accommodation

All admitted KAUST students are guaranteed on-campus University-managed housing, a distinctive feature that fosters a vibrant ecosystem where work, study, life, and recreation seamlessly blend. Living on campus alongside fellow students, faculty and staff enhances collaboration and community engagement, creating an environment rich in opportunities for connection and growth.

Our furnished student housing is located primarily in the Harbour area, just steps away from shops and eateries in Discovery Square and the academic hub of the University. With maintenance services included, you can focus on what truly matters—your research and studies.

We’re committed to ensuring a smooth transition for each new resident, helping you quickly settle into your new home within our diverse international community.

Housing Types and Facilities

Single students are usually allocated their own room in shared accommodation. Those who are married and/or have children and wish to bring their dependents to KAUST can have a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment (for an additional fee which is not included in the KAUST Fellowship). Typically students have access to laundry facilities, a refrigerator, microwave, stove and oven, but housing is allocated based on available supply and provision may vary. The community also has single-gender housing for sharing residents.
