Project Description
Water contamination is one of the most critical environmental hazards. The pollutants in the water are responsible for diseases, affecting its quality and availability worldwide. In our lab, we aim to develop new methods for water treatment using liquid membranes and adsorbent materials, which will guarantee access to clean water and recover valuable raw materials.
This project is focused on using light as a driving force for metal complexation and removal from water. The student will develop expertise in metal complexation, binding constants and water treatment. It is also expected to develop excellent skills in several analytical techniques.
