KAUST with support from the European Science Foundation (ESF) launches a competitive doctoral fellowship scheme to welcome 16 students from the European continent for a remarkable research journey. The selected applicants will receive generous stipends and free tuition for Ph.D. studies.
Your proposed research can be in any topical area of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) represented at the three academic divisions of KAUST. We suggest you explore KAUST research topics before applying.
The application will be evaluated via an independent peer-review process managed by the ESF.

The Al-Khwarizmi/KAUST Fellowship application is a two-step process. Please complete both steps before February 11, 2021 (17:00 CET) to be considered.
STEP 1 - Apply and provide required documentation for Graduate Studies through the
KAUST Admissions Website.
Please ensure you have Transcripts, CV, and contact information for three recommendation providers. A Statement of Purpose explaining your interest in the Al-Khwarizmi Fellowship and topic of research is also required.
STEP 2 - Submit your Research Proposal via the ESF Portal, adhering to the template provided.
